Diana Oliva joined Sponsored Research in January 2000. Ms. Oliva holds a B.B.A. and J.D. from the University of Miami , where she served on the Law Review. In consultation with the FIU General Counsels Office, as necessary, Ms. Oliva negotiates contracts relating to sponsored research matters including federal, state, local and private research agreements, teaming agreements, material transfer agreements, confidentiality agreements, subcontracts, consulting agreements, memoranda of understanding and contracts relating to intellectual property matters. Ms. Oliva also coordinates the updating and maintenance of the Office's written policies and procedures, as well as advises the Office's staff on sponsored research contracting and related matters.
